The general rendezvous technique for spacecraft is to estimate the relative position and pose parameters by using the optical image and reference point which is set on the spacecraft. In this paper, a three-dimension mathematical model is derived to estimate the position and pose parameters between spacecrafts by utilizing both circular projection and the method for circular projection detection. An approach for adjustment parameter measurement for spacecraft rendezvous based on circular projection detection is proposed. The adjustment parameter for the tracking spacecraft can be acquired directly, avoiding the arrangement for the special reference light point on the target spacecraft. It is more practical and feasible for spacecraft docking.
