According to stability problem of joint rock mass slope, firstly, the geometric parameters of rock joints are extracted by statistical distribution method. Monte-Carlo method is adopted to simulate the joints distribution for a two dimensional slope. Then the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to search the dangerous sliding surface of jointed rock mass slope, and the safety factor of slope is computed by improved Sarma method. Finally, the presented method is applied to analysis an example of jointed rock mass slope, the compute result shows that, the safety factor of slope is about 1.508, and the presented method is suited for the stability analysis of jointed rock mass slope.
