During the 30 years’ reform and opening up, China’s urban construction has explored the “development mode of China” and forward in the twists and turns. In the early stages of reform, China’s urban construction has made great achievements. But there’s seldom innovative work especially the modern architecture with Chinese cultural characteristics. Monotonous became the common phenomenon of urban construction .Meanwhile, the transformation of old city made many excellent traditional architectural heritage been destroyed. That leads the resources’ blindly waste and shortage, the environmental pollution and destruction problems becoming increasingly serious. Later, when people realized the value of the old towns, the excessive commercial development led to another form of destruction---destruction of creativity.
