The day is not far when nanomaterials will find themselves a key position in the delivery of biomacromolecules into the biological system for the benefit of the concerned organism or being. Biocompatibility and biodegradability would be, no doubt, the critical requirement for a nanomaterial to be used as carrier of drugs, macromolecules or contrast agents into the biological system without any severe adverse or hypersensitive reaction. Latest technological advancements in material science, nanotechnology and biotechnology have created a niche for the application of nanomaterials as efficient devices for biomacromolecular delivery to a target site.
