Integrating information technology into college English teaching is what comes next after making the technology available and accessible, which purports to combine information technology, information resources, information method and College English teaching practice effectively. Based on the theory of constructivism, together with the authors’ teaching practice, this paper presents a new teaching mode--- the computer-and classroom-based multimedia College English teaching mode, with the aim of optimizing the traditional one to facilitate both teaching and learning.
