The modern distance education platform is the basis for the implementation of distance learning. With the popularity of distance learning, the platform available cannot meet the teaching requirements of high performance, low cost, rapid expansion, etc. The emergence of cloud computing provides a new solution for the modern distance education. This paper analyzes the application status and characteristics of cloud computing so as to propose a set of design and implementation for modern distance education platform based on cloud computing.
