To meet the universal requirements of approval applications, a spreadsheet designer was proposed to draw the sheet template using five primitive shapes. A script was used to mark the filling out cell in template, which was formatted for different applications. A deterministic finite automaton (DFA) was designed to analyze the scripts. A fine-grained access control model was proposed to control the privilege of each script in workflow system. The cells with different privileges were shown in different colors that help the user to find the filling out cells. These modules were packaged into ActiveX, which may be embedded into other systems. Applications show that modules can be used in different approval systems.
