It is frequently needed to set evacuation plans for emergency when a large amount of people get together in public facilities. When accidents occur, it is very likely to cause in jury or death. so study on evacuation dynamics is very necessary. The background and the current status of evacuation dynamics are introduced, and two typical microscopic models are analyzed. The procedure of visual evacuation simulation is summarized. Finally, the problems in resent research are pointed out, and suggestions are provided for the development of this field.
