The result of segmented digital ink text in Chinese includes three levels of objects: characters, text lines and paragraphs. Characters make up a significant percentage in the result and the situations of them are always complex. Automatic methods hardly provide completely correct result of extracted characters. So the result needs to be mediated by human-computer interaction. Optimized visualization could improve the efficiency of interactive mediation. Therefore oriented to the mediation of the errors of extracted characters, according to the adjacent relationship and overlapping scope among characters, the paper proposes an adaptive visualization method for segmented digital ink text. It adaptively chooses rectangular bounding box of character, convex hull of character, or color of character to visually differentiate characters. Testing on various sorts of extracted characters from digital ink text in Chinese, the approach is effective.
