Aimed at the problem of bad load adjustability for inverters, this paper introduced fuzzy control technology based on improved ACO algorithm to improve the load adjustability and to advance the reliability of inverters. The control system of inverters has character of nonlinear and time varying and so on, the perfect control performance cannot been obtained with conventional control method. In order to improve the performance of fuzzy controller in the control system, an optimization of membership functions based on improved ACO algorithm is applied. In this paper, the working principle of the whole system is provided, and the design process of fuzzy controller is also given in detail. Experiment results show that: after optimization, the fuzzy controller can not only stabilize the output sine waveforms but also realize rapid transient response under load disturbances. Its control performance is better than conventional fuzzy controller. It can be used to control inverters effectively.
