This paper presents parameter optimization of NURBS curve using particle swarm optimization (PSO). The experiment is conducted to minimize the number of control points while preserving the shape of the curve. PSO is applied to adjust and optimize the weights according to its parameter. Results show that the optimal parameter similar to the interpolated curve can be obtained for approximated curve.
