Radar raw signals of a real antimissile battle are constituted by scattering waves from multiple targets undergoing micro-motions. Doppler components in the raw signal are rather complex, including linear Doppler components of transmitted linear frequency modulated (LFM) pulse, slow-varying Doppler components induced by the translational motion and fast-varying Doppler components induced by micro-motions. The problems, such as wide frequency band, the overlap of scattering waves from multiple targets, makes the micro-Doppler characteristics are analyzed with difficulty using the common methods. To deal with these problems, an approach for micro-Doppler characteristics analysis of radar signal from multiple targets undergoing micro-motions is proposed. The feasibility of this approach is validated by the simulation results.
