Objective: TW3 method can not be applied to age estimation of adults because skeletal development stops after Childhood and Adolescence. This paper develops a novel method to estimate adult age by roughness and entropy of human skin images. Methods: Some advanced medical image processing technologies are used in the age evaluating system to extract quantization parameters of roughness and entropy on human skin image. Results and Conclusions: The Correlation between Roughness and age is negative, the Correlation between entropy and age is positive. So the relationship of the quantization parameters and age can be used to evaluate adult age theoretically. The conventional TW3 age evaluating system that uses skeleton is applied to children, while this age estimation method that use human skin can evaluate adult age which have a wide range age spectrum.
