With the development Internet of Things, the number of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Network readers and tags increases very fast. Workloads of RFID middleware can change from location to location and can vary at different times. There is an urgent need to provide dynamic and integrated load-balancing solution to manage RFID network and serve upper layer applications. This paper considers characteristics of large-scale application of RFID network, designs a Microsoft message queue (MSMQ) based, distributed, international standards EPCGlobal compliant RFID middle by taking into account dynamic and integrated load-balancing. The distributed architecture can support large-scale applications, and integrated load balancing strategy guarantees stability and high performance of the system.
