With the development of Internet of things and large-scale applications of radio frequency identification(RFID) equipment, RFID network performance requirements becomes increasingly high, redundant data in RFID networks is one of serious problems which need efficient solutions. Redundant data is not only a waste of network resources, reducing network performance, but also causes inconvenience for the upper layer applications. To the best of our knowledge, there is no approach proposed using MapReduce for reduancy elimination in RFID networks. This paper presents an efficient framework based on MapReduce to the redundancy data elimination in RFID networks. The proposed method can efficiently identify and eliminate redundant data, specially for massive number of RFID tags. The method is distributed and parallel in nature and can be applied in large RFID networks.
