The numerical simulation method was employed in this paper and unsteady simulation methods were involved, used to investigate the unsteady flow behaviors in centrifugal compressor. Near-field aerodynamic noise was obtained, based on the acoustic theories. Results show that the major noise sources locate in the front of main blade, the area between the diffuser inlet and the impeller outlet, and the area between the entrance outlet and the impeller inlet. The acoustic power level inside the volute is lower than that inside the impeller.
