The most important part of each new discovery, piece of knowledge or experiment is correct evaluation of outputs. Successfully realized experiment is first and very important step to evaluation of outputs, but very important part is measuring. Inputs are defined before experiment and they are accurately determined and described. Outputs have to be measured and described after experiment. Last step after results evaluation is analytical expression of tested dependence. Analytical expression of dependence represents very important part of experiments, because all tested processes can be described and defined by formula. Very important and often used standard ISO in engineering practice is standard ISO 3685. This standard includes characteristics for various cutting materials. The main part of this standard is Tvc dependence for cutting materials. In standard ISO 3685 are included cutting materials made of high speed steel, sintered carbide and cutting ceramic. The article describes process how to define and analytically express Tvc dependence for cutting ceramic (Al2O3) and sintered carbide (P20+TiN).
