7 The Vibration Characteristics of Cracked Rotor Based on Virtual Prototyping Technology

The virtual prototype model of the cracked rotor system is built by dynamic simulation software ADAMS. The bending and torsional vibration characteristics are analyzed in time and frequency domains through setting different factors, such as speed up process, rotational speed, eccentricity and crack angle. The simulation results are consistent with numerical methods and experiment results. The primary contributions of this paper are to study crack rotor system vibration characteristics, and to validate the feasibility of virtual prototyping technology in the field of rotor dynamic, and provide a new research approach for rotating machinery fault diagnosis.
