This article introduces the basic principle of FAIMS (Highfield Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility Spectrometry) technology, analyses the linear relationship between dispel voltage and compensating voltage in theory. And the experiment system has been designed. The experimental study methods are using ethanol as experimental samples to validate the basic principle of FAIMS and the linear relationship between dispel voltage and compensating voltage. The results of the experiments indicate that the technical principle of FAIMS is feasible, and analyzing theoretically, the conclusion of linear relationship between dispel voltage and compensating voltage conform with the fitting results of experimental data.
