According to the twelfth five-year technology development planning of Guangdong Power Grid Companies: “with construction smart grid as the goal, strengthening new information technology application research”, and direct at the information system running condition of Jiangmen Power Supply Bureau, this paper puts forward the design scheme of information platform of smart grid. The electric power mass data storage, management and operation are achieved by cloud storage and parallel computing technology. The resources sharing and application system integration are realized by cloud's virtualization and RIA technology. The information platform system with high availability and expansibility will be built by combining cloud computing, Web services and RIA, which satisfies the requirement of municipal-scale smart grid.
