This paper, aiming at the dynamic non-linear feature of typhoon rainstorm amount, proposes the method of typhoon rainstorm amount estimation model based-on Elman neural network. After the empirical analysis, we compare the result with that of BP neural network and of linear regression model, which shows that the method is effective and it is a new approach to estimate the typhoon rainstorm amount.
