In the schedule of storage yard, a reasonable plan for the section allocation of storage yard will set the stage for the follow-up operations including bay allocation plan, spot choice for the coming containers, turning-box schedule and shipment plan of containers. In this paper, a mathematic model is built for the allocation plan of section and a new method is adopted to solve multi-objective problems, GA used. In this paper, the function of objectives is understood from a new perspective and a method based on statistics is developed to cope with multi-objective problems. In algorithm respect, a new population-based encoding way is put forward. Eventually, experiments prove the model and algorithm of super performance.
