CICQ (Combined Input and Cross-point-Queued switch) is a kind of cross-point buffer cache by adding a small amount of the exchange structure, and is currently a hot research. The input (output) ports of this structure use VOQ buffer and RR, LQF algorithm, etc. Each crosspoint of crossbar set in a small cache. In this way, the existence of crosspoint buffer solved the input and output coupling of the packet scheduling. This decoupling greatly simplifies the design of dispatcher.

In this paper, we have carried out further improvements of the Crossbar. Using multiple Crossbars is equivalent to dividing the original one into N small Crossbars. Each of them will exercise its functions independently without disturbing each other, thus further to improve the performance of the switch. In addition, we make the simulation analysis of two kinds of scheduling algorithms (RR-RR, LQF-LQF) in the improved CICQ structure. The results show that both of these two algorithms can make the data transmission achieve steady state in this improved CICQ structure, and the crossbar cache only need smaller capacity.
