This paper presents a new type of chaotic system with variable parameter to scramble images doubly. Theoretical analysis and simulation results illustrate that some chaotic characters of our proposed system outperforms that of several traditional chaotic systems. Using parameter variable chaotic system to permutate and substitute the pixel values of digital image, we gain a robust cipher against attacks such as brute force, statistical attack, cropping and noising as shown in the experiment results.
