Based on the virtual prototype and collaborative simulation technology, the AMESim simulation software is used to analyze the different factors, which influence on the insertion depth of longitudinal paving mechanism under specific conditions. Such as, the load (paving resistance force), the pressure of hydraulic system, the pressure, displacement and flow variation of the hydraulic cylinder. Aiming to reveal relationships between insertion depth and resistance force, the virtual simulation of hydraulic system of longitudinal paving mechanism was made. The research results play an important role in reducing the fracture rate of straw and ensuring the longitudinal paving quality.
