As systems become more complex, probability of potential system failures and unexampled events increase. In order to move towards the design of resilient systems, there is a need for methodology that links the studies of failure mechanisms to system lifecycle. Prognostic Health Management (PHM) links system engineering processes with diagnostic analysis. This paper outlines a process framework for embedding PHM during architecting of system-of-systems.
