In order to meet the requirements of modern information dissemination, the design of modern books starts to seek multi-disciplinary integration of multiple technologies based on the design of traditional books. The characteristic of modern books is no longer the planar structure to transmit knowledge unilaterally, but a series of horizontal, vertical, multi-directional, and reflective new researches, which are implicative of each other, comprehend by analogy, and contain the traditional and modern research, the inner and outer part of book layout composition, the material composition and color communication, multi-dimensional structure, etc. Since modern books have changed from the inherent three-dimensional structure to multi-dimensional form, designers should strengthen even more on the optimal design of elements of books like structure, layout, colors, materials, etc., meet various reading needs of readers on the books, enhance visual, readable, convenient, and pleasant nature of books, extend the optimal design of multi-dimensional form for modern book and develop the cultural values.
