Compared to other AHSS, dual phase (DP) steel is used most widely in today's automobile industry for its high strength and good crash performance. However. DP weld's interfacial fracture mode will decrease its weld quality as well as weldability obviously. This paper uses the advantage of servo gun to study the effect of welding process variables on interfacial fracture degree and find out an optimized welding parameter using orthogonal experimental design method to minimize the occurrence of interfacial fracture of DP welds and improve its weldability.
