Combustion and emission characteristics comparison experiments between the diesel-biodiesel mixture fuel and diesel-biodiesel-aethylether mixture fuel are done on a single cylinder diesel engine. Ignition delay period, combustion pressure, heat release ratio, combustion temperature and emissions of the two fuels are analyzed. Results indicate: at 1800rpm, compared with B30, ignition delay period ofB25+M5 increases; peak pressure, peak pressure increase ratio, peak heat release ratio and peak combustion temperature of B25+M5 increase; CO, HC and smoke emissions decrease 39.7%, 17.2% and 50.6% respectively; NOx emission increases 11.6%. Results prove: addment of aethylether can obviously improve the combustion course of diesel-biodiesel mixture fuel and can effectively decrease the smoke emission.
