In this article, it demonstrates the usage of selected lean metrics for an evaluation of designed manufacturing system by simulation. This manufacturing system was designed for automobile industry specifically for the car door production line. The goal is to eliminate a waste already in the process of the manufacturing system design. The known simulator Witness was used for creating a simulation model of the manufacturing system. The main benefit of this article is the calculation of lean metrics by simulation. The simulation greatly helped to validate designed solution.
