97 A Model for Usage of Smart Technologies in Urban Management to Control Urban Growth

Immethodical and irregular urban growth is a threat to the sustainable housing and sustainable urban management. Therefore it is very important to safeguard frontage and borders of contemporary cities, although this is a time consuming, expensive and a critical task. Especially in metropolitan areas and great cities like Tehran.

The paper is looking for a model for usage of smart technologies as assistant for urban management. The proposed plan is based on usage of control systems and applications with the help of sensor networking, to help Tehran municipality to safeguard the city frontage and prohibit undecided and irregular urban growth.
