Business intelligence is the use of an organization's disparate data to provide meaningful information and analysis to employees, customers, suppliers, and partners for more effective decision making. Its purpose is to get meaningful information from data in order to make better business decisions. This paper takes a brief look at business intelligence and knowledge management, several examples of business intelligence products are summarized, it is followed an analysis about how business intelligence products supporting knowledge management on its strategic planning, implementation, technology application and assessment.
