The shock response spectrum of the two degree-of-freedom system with a key component was investigated under the action of preceding peak saw tooth pulse. And the effect of nominal frequency ratio, damping ratio, mass ratio and the amplitude of the to the shock response spectrum of the key component and the main part were discussed; these concepts and the results have important value in the design of cushioning packaging.
