It has been proven that the transient stability and inrush currents in the power transformers are two quite prominent issues in power systems. Switchsyncs, which are new equipments in electrical field, could impressively reduce the inrush current in the power transformers. So we will describe that how they do it; additionally, this paper will demonstrate that they can mitigate the transient stability, which may happen during the regular maintenance of the transformers in power plant's substations due to a probable three phase short circuit. This research is studied based on the IEEE test system including 11 buses, 4 generators and 4 transformers.
