In this paper, a refinement in the method of linear components for the reconstruction of the polarization profile of EM waves was discussed. The determination of the polarization of an EM wave is possible through the measurement of its axial ratio and relative phase. The adjustments made in the method were very effective since the obtained results were satisfactory and consistent. A calibration procedure was described to reduce the errors inherent to the axial ratio measurement, since the receiving dipoles are not identical, despite all the care taken in their manufacturing.
