A deterministic multi objective single machine scheduling problem with non-zero ready times is solved in this paper. The objective is to obtain a sequence of jobs that will minimize total tardiness and number of tardy jobs. There is no preference made among objectives. A set of non-dominated solutions are provided at the end for the decision maker to make the final decision. A mixer approach, which is a new approach to deal with multi-objective genetic algorithms, is used to obtain high-quality solutions considering both objectives.
