118 Fault Diagnosis of Nuclear Components by Kohonen Self-Organizing Maps (PSAM-0068)

In this paper, the use of Kohonen self-organizing maps for fault diagnostics is proposed. The method is tested on a case study concerning the task of diagnosing faults in the gland seal system of a pump of the Primary Heat Transport System in a PHWR — CANDU 6. The construction and fine tuning of the networks is performed on the basis of pre-classified data.
