In this paper, an analytical approach is proposed to deal with the availability evaluation of a parallel system with limited repair facilities. This approach is based on functional transitions and generalized Kronecker algebra. By using functional transitions, repair policies are addressed and formally written. To illustrate the proposed approach, a parallel system example is studied. repair policy is given. By the use of the PEPS software package, numerical results are developed and discussed.
