Pressure signals obtained through a long skinny instrument line are usually disturbed because of fluid resonance oscillation. Therefore, such a problem is frequently encountered that an unperturbed pressure is desired to be estimated from the pressure signal. An estimation method consisting of a numerical inverse Laplace transformation was proposed to solve this problem. The validity of the method was evaluated for analytic models and an experimental system. This method was applied to the estimation of local pressures of a BWR nuclear power plant under transient tests.
