Research was conducted on a new formulation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxy-acetic acid (2,4-D). Unlike many of today's commercial products that contain ester or amine forms of 2,4-D, this new formulation contains the acid form of 2,4-D. Comparisons of this new formulation with amine and ester formulations include herbicide efficacy data, surfactant properties, and fertilizer compatibility.
