This report gives test results for ASTM C90 block produced throughout Central Florida using a new lightweight aggregate. In May 1988, Florida Mining and Materials started producing medium and light weight block using Aardelite. Aardelite consists of pelletized particles produced from a mixture of hydrated lime and fly ash. The Aardelite plant is located at Florida Power's Energy Center near Crystal River, Florida.
