An experimental evaluation of graphite/PEEK, APC-2, was carried out on specimens with various size holes acting under tension and compression loading. Quasiisotropic symmetrical laminates were tested at RT, 121, 135, and 149°C, and the Pipes three-parameter failure criterion was correlated with experimental results. Scanning electron microscopy photographs were used to determine specific notch effects on failure modes.
