The problem of a quasi-statically growing crack in an elastic power-law creeping material is considered for the case of plane-strain Mode I under small-scale yielding conditions. A finite-element method is used to compute the complete stress and strain field. A crack growth criterion is used to derive a relation between the crack growth rate ˙a and the stress-intensity factor K.
