This paper discusses the regulatory framework which exists for the control of sources of radiation which are used in the field of neutron radiography. The paper covers those sources (reactors, subcritical assemblies, special nuclear material, byproduct material, and neutron generators) which are subject to AEC control. In addition, those sources of radiation (accelerators, high energy X-ray machines, and naturally occurring radioactive materials) which are regulated by Agreement States are discussed. The regulatory activities of the Non-Agreement States as they relate to non-agreement sources of radiation are increasing and are also discussed.
