Liquefied petroleum gas has been used commercially as an internal combustion fuel for over 50 years. During these 50 years, safety has been and remains to be of prime concern to the LP-Gas industry. In fact, for the past 32 years the LP-Gas industry has been guided by the safety recommendations of NFBU 58 and NFPA 58.
In order for the LP-Gas industry to continue this fine safety record consideration must be given to the type of containers and equipment used, as well as the proper installation of same. Contained in this paper are recommendations for the safe use of LP-Gas as an engine fuel.
