A method for conducting low cycle fatigue tests by reversed bending is described. The advantages of bend (flexure) testing lie in its simplicity, specimen stability at high strain levels, and minimal equipment costs. Description of the method includes (1) types of specimens, (2) equipment construction and operation, (3) stress and strain measurements, and (4) data output, presentation, and analysis.
