A survey was carried out to gather data on the durability of adhesive-bonded structural components in housing. Design and quality control data were limited, and few laboratories were found to be conducting test programs to generate quantitative reliability information. The field data were analyzed by statistical methods, including a Bayesian approach. It was shown that this method can serve as a basis for approving new components.
