This paper gives a condensed method of representing flow performance of reaction-type turbine blading which is applicable to an extensive range of flow conditions including those widely different from the conditions of maximum efficiency. The method is of particular value in analyzing flow in by-pass blade groups of central-station turbines or of mixed-pressure or bleeder turbines. It is based on dimensional analysis and empirical data are presented in the condensed form suggested by the analysis.
