A piecewise linear unified yield criterion called the twin-shear-unified was proposed. It is based on a kind of orthogonal dodecahedron stress element. The effects of intermediate principal stress are taken into account such that most available yield loci on the π-plane are embraced in a unified manner. Besides, it is capable to represent not only convex limit surfaces but also nonconvex limit surfaces.
