This paper is concerned with the motion of a fluid film squeezed between two parallel plane surfaces with suction or injection at the porous surface. Attention is given to the case of impulsive squeezing. Analytic solutions based on the regular perturbation technique and on the linearized analysis of the resulting nonlinear partial differential equation are presented. The effects of injection and suction on the velocity profiles and on the normal forces which the fluid exerts on the surfaces are studied.
